Where do I take my blood test?
You don’t need to travel anywhere for your blood test. As part of the Hesta Health at-home service, we’ll send a blood testing kit directly to your home.
A trained and regulated healthcare professional from Heim Health, who we work in partnership with, will then visit you to take your blood sample safely and comfortably, without you needing to leave the house.
When will I get my results?
Your results are usually available within 3–5 working days after you’ve completed your blood tests (and Hesta360 questionnaire, if it’s part of a Hesta Health Check). They’ll be securely displayed in your Hesta Health dashboard as soon as they’re ready.
I’d like to get my hormones tested, can you help?
We’ll soon be offering hormone testing as part of our blood tests. Our approach will ensure that hormone testing is interpreted in the context of your symptoms, other blood results and overall health. This means that you receive meaningful, personalised guidance - not just results in isolation.
If you’d like to be the first to hear when this becomes available, you’re very welcome to join our mailing list - or email us at support@hesta.health if you want to give us feedback!
Who is Heim Health?
Heim Health is a CQC-registered healthcare provider with trained and regulated healthcare professionals who specialise in delivering care at home, including collecting blood samples. We work with them so you can have your test done safely and conveniently without leaving the house.
Why can’t I just book a standalone Hesta Health blood test?
Because the test is only one piece of the picture. The Hesta Health Check combines your lab results and Hesta360 responses to create a comprehensive baseline of your health, from which we can design a personalised plan.
What happens if my results show something abnormal?
All results are carefully reviewed by a Hesta clinician. Where anything is outside of the expected range, your report will explain what this means and why it may be showing up that way - always in the context of your symptoms, wider results, and medical history. We’ll also clearly outline any recommended next steps, so you know exactly what to do. If we believe you require repeat testing, or urgent next steps, we will contact you.
And if you’d like to talk your results through, you’re very welcome to book a consultation with one of our experienced postnatal clinicians.
What do the Hesta blood tests check for?
It looks at 51 biomarkers across multiple systems, including blood health, heart and metabolic health, kidney, liver and thyroid function, inflammation and immunity, and nutrition. This can help identify underlying causes of fatigue, low mood, or slow recovery as well as flagging any potential longer-term health risk factors. You can see a list here
