Who is Hesta Health for?
Hesta Health is for any mother or birthing parent who has given birth and wants support with their postnatal recovery, health and wellbeing.
As of May 2026, we provide support tailored for women and birthing parents who have given birth in the last 2 years.
If your birth falls outside this timeframe, but you would like to be kept informed about future services, you can also sign up using this form. We’ll contact you when we have services that are right for you.
If you’d like to participate in ongoing user research to help shape our services, sign up here.
What is Hesta Health?
Hesta Health is a postnatal healthcare service that helps new mothers and birthing parents recover from birth - physically, emotionally, and mentally - while building a foundation for lifelong health.
Hesta Health was founded in May 2025 by Dr Sujitha Selvarajah and Amanda Cupples, with a mission to set a new standard in women’s health, beginning with postnatal care.
We believe postnatal care should be designed around women’s real needs, not scattered across disjointed systems they’re expected to navigate alone. And we believe the two years after childbirth represent a critical window to intervene not just to support immediate recovery, but to deliver better lifelong health outcomes.

How does Hesta Health work?
Our services are available in two ways:
The Hesta Health Check is available for up to two years after birth. It is a specialised postnatal health assessment that gives you a clinically led picture of your physical and mental health, combining blood testing, a detailed, clinically-designed health and wellbeing questionnaire, and expert review.
The assessment is designed to build a complete picture of your postnatal health across 8 clinical areas. A Hesta postnatal clinician reviews your questionnaire responses, stated goals, and blood results together, supported by our multidisciplinary clinical team including specialist clinicians, pelvic health physiotherapists, and mental health professionals. You receive your Hesta Health Check results, along with a personalised plan that helps you with what to do next: the Hesta Care Guide.
You may use the Hesta Health Check when returning to work, thinking about exercise, planning another pregnancy, experiencing ongoing symptoms, or simply wanting clarity on your postnatal health.
If you want more dedicated support in the early weeks and months after birth, you can combine a Hesta Health Check with AskHesta, our clinically-led messaging service. For the first 12 weeks after birth, you can access trusted support as questions arise and gain a deeper understanding of your recovery when you feel ready.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed - you can sign up directly online.
Is Hesta Health part of the NHS?
We are designed to complement, but not replace, NHS pathways. We aim to work collaboratively with your NHS GP and can share information with your consent.
